Information Silent Key processes
Google Sign-In provides a Firebase user identifier and may provide an email address, display name and profile photo. Silent Key stores profile fields such as nickname, SK-ID, avatar, account timestamps, tutorial status and moderation status. The service also stores conversations, messages, replies, reactions, read information, reports, reviews, blocked-user state and administrative records required to operate the app.
How information is used
Information is used to authenticate users, create profiles, locate users by SK-ID, deliver conversations, show message state, maintain account safety, investigate reports, apply moderation, repair chat previews and operate support or account-deletion requests.
Visible information
Other users may see your nickname, SK-ID, avatar, active or last-seen indicators, messages, reactions and conversation information relevant to shared chats. Your Google email is not intended to be displayed to ordinary chat participants, although it is stored for authentication and administration.
Firebase and hosting providers
Google Firebase provides authentication and database services. Netlify hosts the static website. These providers process technical information under their own terms and privacy practices. Browser requests may also include IP address, user agent and ordinary network metadata.
Advertising
Google AdSense code may load on selected public informational pages. Advertising code is not included in the private login, setup, chat, settings, profile, moderation or admin application shell. Google may process device, browser and advertising information on pages where its code is present, subject to Google’s policies and user consent requirements.
Retention
New messages receive a seven-day expiry timestamp and may be hidden after expiry. Server deletion occurs through administrative cleanup and may not happen at the exact expiry moment. Conversation connections, profile data, moderation records, reports and other operational records may remain until deleted or no longer needed. Recipients may retain copies outside the service.
Security
Silent Key uses HTTPS, Firebase Authentication, Firestore rules and security headers. It is not end-to-end encrypted. No system can guarantee absolute security, especially on compromised devices or accounts.
Your choices
You can edit profile details, control notifications, block contacts, log out and request account deletion. Browser permissions can be changed in browser or operating-system settings.
Children and supervised use
Users who are not legally able to consent to online services in their location should use Silent Key only with appropriate parent or guardian involvement. The service must not be used to exploit or endanger minors.
