Acceptance
By using Silent Key, you agree to these terms, the privacy policy and the community guidelines. Do not use the service if you cannot lawfully agree to them.
Account responsibility
You are responsible for the Google account used to sign in, the devices where the session remains active and activity performed through your Silent Key profile. Do not share authentication access. An SK-ID may be shared as a contact identifier but is not an authentication credential.
Permitted use
Use Silent Key for lawful personal communication. Follow consent, privacy, intellectual-property and safety laws that apply to you. Do not use the service for harassment, exploitation, fraud, malware, credential theft, spam or attempts to bypass security controls.
Temporary messages
Message expiry is a product feature, not a guarantee that content becomes unrecoverable everywhere. Recipients may copy content, cleanup may be delayed and moderation records may retain relevant information. Maintain your own backups of information you need.
Moderation
Silent Key may review reports, remove content, suspend accounts or block accounts to enforce these terms and protect users. The service may preserve information reasonably needed to investigate abuse, security incidents or legal obligations.
Availability
The service is provided on an as-available basis. Features may change, fail or be discontinued. Silent Key does not guarantee uninterrupted delivery, exact presence information, exact-second deletion or recovery of lost content.
No end-to-end encryption promise
Silent Key is a Firebase-backed moderated service and is not represented as end-to-end encrypted. Do not use it when your threat model requires the provider to be unable to access message content.
Account termination
You may request account deletion. Silent Key may restrict or terminate accounts that violate these terms, create security risk or abuse other users.
Changes
These terms may be updated as the service changes. The current version and update date will be published on this page.
